Jill and I had had a conversation one week before our wedding back in 2004 that I will never forget. It was an awakening for me. I told her, passionately, that I was “ALL IN” and that I didn’t think I could love her any more than I already did. Jill responded differently. “I do love you, Tommy, but my love for you will grow each day that I’m married to you.” That totally caught me off guard!
So, I blurted out, “I don’t want to marry someone that isn’t 100% “ALL IN” TODAY!” That was one of many lessons Jill has taught me about love. She was so right. Love does grow. And I love Jill even more today than I did fifteen years ago. Amazing how God designed that.
