I’m excited to share a few special announcements for our Tommy Spaulding Leadership Institute (501c3 non-profit youth leadership development organization):
- Our National Leadership Academy will celebrate its 21st annual Summer Academy in Denver, CO, this June 25 – 28. We will be accepting 250 high school students from all over the country to participate in what has become one of the most powerful programs in the world that teaches youth the importance of heart-led leadership, love (of self and others) and service towards all people. - Our Global Youth Leadership Academy (GYLA) is also growing. We will be having two GYLA programs in summer 2020. I’m excited to announce our GYLA Norway program will be July 14-21, and our GYLA Haiti program will be August 2-9. We will be accepting 46 high school student participants (15 to 18 years of age) for our GYLA Norway program and 30 student participants for our GYLA Haiti program. I had the honor of visiting Haiti two years ago and volunteering at Many Hands of Haiti (our in-country partner). My experience serving the poor of Haiti was life changing, and it will also be for our GYLA student participants. I also had the honor of traveling to Scandinavia 30 years ago as a student in Up with People, and I’m so thrilled to be returning to the great country of Norway. - With our growing youth leadership programs, we have also grown our Tommy Spaulding Leadership Institute staff. Starting Sept. 1, we announced the hire of Holly Bryan as Executive Director, Tracy Hindman as Program & Development Manager, Desiree Mortenson as Executive Assistant and Felicia Michael as Marketing & Communications Manager. Holly, Tracy, Desiree and Felicia are charged with growing NLA and GYLA programs and continuing what we have done best for 20 years – to change the hearts and minds of young people and equip them with the life and leadership skills to change and impact the lives of others.

We have one last job position to fill this fall. Tommy Spaulding Companies is looking for a new Business Development Manager to run and book all our international speaking & training programs. We are looking for someone with five to 10 years of sales experience, who lives in Denver, Colorado and who has extremely high relationship development skills.
